CAJM members in all categories share an interest in the presentation of Jewish history, arts, and culture and work in good faith to help each other and the community at large. Apply to join our growing network, and engage with professionals working to strengthen Jewish museums and Jewish culture.

We invite you to apply for membership in one of these categories:

INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS are primarily Jewish museums in North America, including Jewish art and history museums, historic sites, archives, historical societies, Holocaust museums, universities and libraries with Jewish collections, and JCCs with galleries. Institutional Members are eligible to vote (one vote per institution), hold office, be listed on our website, participate in the full Reciprocal Admissions Program, and apply to our fellowship programs. 

AFFILIATE MEMBERS are organizations presenting or preserving Jewish content, but are not Jewish museums (as described above). They include Jewish museums outside of North America, non-Jewish museums with Jewish collections or content, organizations for Jewish artists and performers, Jewish communal agencies, and other organizations presenting Jewish culture. Affiliate Members are eligible to hold office. 

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS are individuals working on projects relevant to the field, but are not on staff at Institutional or Affiliate Member institutions. They include scholars, designers, artists, performers, authors, and independent consultants; individuals presenting Jewish content for the public; and Jewish museum partners and donors. Individual Members are eligible to vote, hold office, and may apply to our fellowship programs.
